Vineyard: This grape comes from the town of La Portera in Requena area, attached to the DOP Valencia. The fields are sandy loam with limestone outcrops. 60 years old vineyard converted to NW-SE oriented trellis, grafted onto 99-R. Low yields were obtained at 2014 (3500 kg / ha approx).

Weather: 2014 was a very dry year. There was hardly any spring precipitation. This caused a great advance of the growing season. The summer was warm and high temperature, maximum for the month of September with respect to the 1970-2010 series. Some small storms cooled the atmosphere the days before harvest, obtaining an excellent balance for the Bobal grape and an excellent healthcare quality. A year where the vineyard got a large concentration of photochemicals, sugars and aromas. The rain was 110L until the harvest date in the La Portera.
