Vineyard: The grapes come from the Clariano subzone belonging to the DO Valencia, specifically the town of Castelló de Rugat. The fields are sandy with some limestone outcrops with a water table near the roots. 8 years young vines oriented NW-SE to minimize heat stroke. Low yields were obtained at 2014 (7000 kg / ha approx).

Weather: 2014 was a very dry year. There was hardly any spring precipitation. This caused a great advance of the growing season. The summer was warm and mild temperatures. Some small storms cooled the atmosphere the days before harvest. A year where the vineyard, and more specifically the chardonnay got a large concentration of sugars and aromes. The rain was 80L until the harvest date in the Castello de Rugat (Vall d'Albaida).
